What Obama Can Do For Language

Take a look at this tongue-in-cheek news report of Obama’s first couple of weeks as president-elect, and how jarring they have been for many observers.

Do you know what this means?  Millions of schoolchildren might grow up believing that good grammar (including complete sentences) is important!  Sniff, sniff.  My dreams are coming true.

Oh Happy Day

Tonight, I’m nearly speechless.  Nearly. 

Today marks only the second time I’ve voted for the winner in a presidential election.  It feels pretty good, and I’m glad it happened a second time.
