And We’re Back To Politics

Ok, I do have some grammar points to make, but first I have to share this with you:

Read About Why It’s Not That Hillary Is a Woman

I am so mad at so many women right now.  Especially blogger Melissa, who is quoted in this blog saying something about how Hillary Clinton not winning the Democratic nomination means that women aren’t being taken seriously in this country.

Excuse me, Melissa, but I have to argue that point.  (Unfortunately, it’s on my blog, which you will likely never read.)  Women who are taken seriously in this country:

Oprah Winfrey
Condoleeza Rice
Madeline Albright
Meg Whitman
Nancy Pelosi
Martha Stewart
Jennifer Granholm
Ruth Bader Ginsberg
Sandra Day O’Connor

Also, me.  I am taken seriously.  Not by the entire country, or even my local area.  But in my job, there’s never been any question about whether my hormones or emotions or breasts will get in the way of me doing my job.  And my boss is a woman.  Her boss is a woman, and her boss is a woman.  And the next level of boss?  A woman.  Above that is a man, who is the CEO.  But from me to CEO, all women.

The post I’ve linked to explains all of the reasons to dislike Hillary’s campaign without disliking that she’s a woman.  And I get all of them.  Let me shout from the top of my womanly lungs:  IT’S NOT BECAUSE SHE’S A WOMAN.  Hillary herself, a lawyer, first lady, senator, and mother of a successful woman, knows that as well as I do.
